A Rural Woman and proud to be 😊.
Today we recognise Rural Women across the world. The theme this year is “Building rural women’s resilience in the wake of COVID-19”. We are a resilient bunch however in rural areas across the world the pandemic has shown the greater gaps in healthcare, supply chains, child care and financial support for many rural women.
While I live a fortunate life in my rural community the lack of healthcare is prominent. We now have to drive an hour to a GP, let alone the waiting lists for specialist care. I can only imagine the challenges for more remote rural communities.
To all rural women - cheers 🥂 to you all.

That spur of the moment thing...
After Aqua aerobics this morning, a browse through a nursery (yes bought more 🌱!!) we popped into the Sheep Dog Trials 🐶🤓.
It is intriguing to watch the relationship between person and dog, the communication with a few words and whistles. It works well the sheep 🐑 play too.
Great to see towns like Gunnedah opening up again, busy with events while being #covidsafe . The sheep are healthy, the grass is green, there is a positiveness in the air 🤩.

Days end, and in my parts the end of a long weeken

Days end, and in my parts the end of a long weekend.
This pic is taken from the back gate of my childhood home. That tree has always stood tall in many of my memories. (I even know a pet cat is long buried beneath this tree!).
The dusty haze dances on sunbeams above freshly cut oats, now drying and soon to become hay. The scents from the freshly cut oats, the dust, the diesel tractor mixed with memories of early summer time.
